Moretti Ristorante Pizzeria

The brief

Dining can be a noisy experience. In a room full of a lot of hard surfaces and constant chatter, restaurants are notorious for being noisy.

What we did

To combat the reverberation at Moretti’s, Mumble installed QUAD ceiling baffles. Suspended above the tables, the baffles catch sound where it builds up, high in the room, and leave the walls free for the restaurant’s own fit-out. Their geometric form turns the ceiling into a design feature rather than an afterthought.

The result

Less echo across the dining room, so guests can talk at their own table without raising their voices, and a ceiling that adds to the atmosphere.

Why the ceiling? In restaurants the walls are often taken by windows, art and banquettes. The ceiling is the biggest free surface you have.
